Duchamp for agents

Connect Duchamp to Claude Code, Codex or Cursor over MCP

One remote server for visual references and your marketing workspace. Your agent searches UI pages, image prompts, motion recipes, fonts and backgrounds, looks at the real preview, then fetches the recipe or prompt and builds with your brand. Sign in with a free Duchamp account; there is no API key.

claude mcp add duchamp --scope user --transport http https://duchamp.app/api/mcp

    codex mcp login duchamp
  3. Cursor. Put this in .cursor/mcp.json (or add the duchamp entry to an existing mcpServers), save, then press Connect next to duchamp in Cursor's MCP settings.

Plugin

The plugin registers the same server and adds a skill that teaches the agent the search → inspect → fetch flow and the four blanks. Source: github.com/duchamp-app/duchamp (MIT).

Four marketing workspace tools

After connecting, open Marketing AI connections and choose read or read/write access for your client. Existing library consent does not grant access to private projects. Access covers all marketing projects in your account and can be revoked on that page.

list_marketing_projects lists summaries; get_marketing_project reads product facts, competitor observations, reference content, strategy and experiments. create_marketing_project and update_marketing_project save your work to the same workspace as the website. Updates require the latest version and replace changed nested fields in full. These tools do not run paid research APIs or publish content.

Account, limits and rules

  • Sign in with a free Duchamp account the first time a client connects. No API key, nothing to paste.
  • get_template, get_ui and get_asset share one daily free allowance with copying on duchamp.app. Searches, get_reference and ads research are not counted. Creator ($9 / month or $79 / year) removes the limit. Payments are not open yet, so the limit is currently off.
  • Templates have four blanks — brand name, brand color, topic, the words to show — and the agent fills them only with what you confirmed. It never invents brand facts, numbers, dates, prices or reviews. Pitch-deck numbers come only from you.
  • Image and carousel prompts are written in Korean; ask for the result in your language. UI recipes, video recipes, font code and backgrounds are code and files.

Example requests

Paste one into your agent after connecting.

A landing page for an AI tool

Use Duchamp. Search UI pages for an AI SaaS whose visitors need to understand the product first, in a clean style. Show me the top two with their section order, then fetch the one I pick and build it for my product — ask me the STEP 0 questions before writing code.

A launch poster image

Use Duchamp. Search image templates for a poster announcing a product launch, inspect the reference, then fetch the prompt and fill the four blanks with my brand name, brand color, topic and the words to show. Write the result in English.

A Korean web font with license

Use Duchamp. Search assets for a free Korean sans-serif with at least five weights, tell me its license, then fetch the asset and add it to this Next.js project with next/font.

Questions

Do I need an API key?
No. The first time a client connects, a browser opens and you sign in with a free Duchamp account and allow the connection (OAuth 2.1). There is no API key.
What counts toward the daily free limit?
get_template, get_ui and get_asset each count as one use against the same daily free allowance as copying on duchamp.app. Searches, get_reference, get_reference_label and the ads research tools are not counted, so search and inspect freely before fetching. Ads research does not return original creative files. The allowance resets at midnight KST, and items you already fetched today can be fetched again. Payments are not open yet, so the limit is currently off.
Does the server generate images or videos?
No. It returns references, prompts and recipes. Image generation happens in the AI tool you use; motion videos, logos and pitch decks are rendered with code by your coding agent.
Which clients work?
Claude Code and Codex (one-line connect or plugin), Cursor through .cursor/mcp.json, and any app that supports remote MCP over Streamable HTTP with OAuth.
